NTUC LearningHub launches Leadership Academy to build human-centred leaders in the AI age

NTUC LearningHub (NTUC LHUB) has on 29 January 2026 launched a new academy to equip workers with core leadership capabilities to tackle the challenges of aworld driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

 

The NTUC LHUB Leadership Academy introduces nine new courses designed to support leaders at every stage of their journey—from first-time managers to senior executives.

 

The initiative was officiated by Digital Development and Information Minister Josephine Teo during the NTUC LearningHub Human+ Symposium held at Andaz Singapore.

 

In her address, Mrs Teo said that Singapore must shape a future of work where AI is not an adversary but a tool that complements Singapore’s workforce.

 

“Our orientation should be to use AI to augment our capabilities rather than to replace us,” she said.

 

The nine new courses will cover three leadership areas—self, others and organisations.

 

Ranging from seven to 24 hours, the courses are designed to support participants at every stage of their leadership journey.

NTUC LHUB’s new brand identity

 

Meanwhile, NTUC LHUB unveiled its Human+ Championed by NTUC LearningHub brand at the symposium.

 

According to NTUC LHUB, the new brand reaffirms its commitment to championing and advancing human skills to complement AI, while underscoring the organisation’s commitment to keep people at the centre of progress as work evolves.

 

NTUC LHUB CEO Jeremy Ong said: “As technology and AI continue to reshape how we work, the ability to lead effectively remains fundamentally human. While AI can enhance speed and efficiency, leadership effectiveness will always rest deeply on human capabilities such as judgement, empathy, emotional intelligence, and resilience.”

 

He added that the launch of the NTUC LHUB Leadership Academy reflects the continuing education and training (CET) provider’s commitment to strengthening Singapore’s leadership pipeline, equipping business leaders with the necessary skills needed to thrive in a technology-driven economy.

 

“By integrating global best practices, strong local insights, and meaningful partnerships, we aim to develop leaders at every level with the cognitive, emotive, and behavioural capabilities required to build inclusive, high-performing teams, uphold trust and fairness in the workplace, and confidently navigate the future of work,” he said.

 

As part of this commitment, the NTUC LHUB has also established strategic partnerships with Harvard Business Impact (HBI) and the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP).

 

Together, they will strengthen curriculum development and focus on fair, inclusive, and people-centred leadership.

 

An academy that addresses real-world needs

 

The strategic partnership with HBI and TAFEP will build a collaborative learning ecosystem that blends global best practices with local workforce insights, ensuring strong alignment with real-world needs, according to NTUC LHUB.

 

Through its collaboration with HBI, NTUC LHUB will introduce new leadership courses, leveraging HBI’s global expertise and thought leadership.

 

Together with TAFEP, NTUC LHUB will work to advance skills that support compliance, strengthen strategic readiness for the Workplace Fairness Act, and co-create end-to-end human resource capability courses that elevate professional standards.

 

In addition, NTUC LHUB signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with five employers during the symposium, aimed at co-developing leadership competency frameworks, identifying workforce development needs, workforce upskilling, emerging skills, and the creation of potential training programmes.

 

They employers were Aster Chemicals and Energy, City Developments Limited, SMRT Corporation, Yayasan MENDAKI, and Resorts World Sentosa.

 

“Together with each of them, we will co-create customised programmes relevant to their organisational needs, particularly in this AI age,” he said.
